The five hand tools cited were lineman’s pliers, needle nose pliers, diagonal cutting pliers, wire strippers, and the Electrician’s tool. With a variety of uses and part of every electrician’s toolbox, these five hand tools are akin to the tools of the trade. While many of us may not exactly understand what each tool is for or how it is used, in the hands of skilled electricians these tools become valuable assets.

If you are considering a career as an electrician, these are five tools that every apprentice should also get very familiar with. And don’t forget, if you have an electrical issue that you aren’t one hundred percent confident in fixing, then it is always a good idea to talk to an electrician before you start cutting wires, even if you have all the right tools.
